In this class we are going to bake some of the Christmas treats that I grew up making with my mother and grandmother. There are many delicious treats to choose from and I have made a selection of the bakes and treats that I will always include in my December baking.
We are going to start the class with making Lucia Buns (aka Lussekatte). Originally a Swedish treat and made for the 13th December - Lucia Day. It's an enriched bread flavoured with saffron formed into various shapes and dotted with currants. We of course have to make some cookies in this class, it wouldn't be Christmas without cookies! I have chosen these spiced cookies full of spices and warm flavours. Finally we are going to have a bit of fun with chocolate. Making some chocolate bark and some cocoa and date truffles. Bring on Christmas, we are ready with the treats!
