Do I have to be a great cook to learn how to bake?
No, not at all! A little passion for homemade baking is all you need.
How do I sign up for a baking class?
Either book a place on the website under Class Calendar or send me an email on maria@bakewithmaria.com with date and class you would like to attend and I will book you in.
I’m allergic to dairy, wheat, gluten, Marmite…
Please contact us before you book a class to let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements you might have. We will then be able to recommend the best class for you.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
You don’t need to bring anything, just come along and we will supply everything needed for the baking class include an apron to use during the class and boxes to take everything home in.
What are the teaching methods?
In every class I will take you through all of the steps of home baking. The class is very hands on and we have chosen to make the classes very small in size so you will get lots of personal attention.
For the cake baking classes, we will be using KitchenAid stand mixers – they are ideal for cake batters and ensure a light, fluffy texture. Don’t worry if you do not have a stand mixer at home – all the cake recipes can be made using a handheld mixer.
Are there any age restrictions?
Children under the age of 15 have to buy a place as well as have a paying adult attending the class with them.
Terms & Conditions
Since our baking classes have limited enrollment, classes are non-refundable and there are no make-ups for a missed class. If you find you are unable to attend a baking class that you have paid for, you may of course send someone in your place. Please let us know that person’s name before the class so we may welcome them to the class.
If you can’t find a replacement we will, as a courtesy, place your booking back up on our web site and attempt to resell the spot to our audience. If the place sells we can either book you on to a different class of similar value or give you a refund.
In the unlikely event that a baking class is cancelled, you’ll receive at least 48 hours notice. We will offer another class or issue you a full refund – your choice,
Purchasing gift vouchers
Gift vouchers for baking classes can be bought or over the phone. They are easy to redeem and are valid for 12 months after purchase. Once you have purchased the gift voucher you will receive an email with a link which you can use for redeeming the gift voucher. Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
