“As always an amazing experience!
Last week I was fortunate enough (they fill up very quickly) to do one of Maria’s sourdough classes. It was truly a great experience from start to finish. Although a novice to sourdough, Maria was able to demystify the many sourdough concepts for me and the more experienced bread makers in the class. The after support is amazing: brilliant handouts, email support, should you need it, and sourdough tutorials on Maria’s YouTube channel.

Baking with Maria is a wonderful experience. It’s her calm, warm, pleasant (with a pinch of fun) personality that makes the class. That combined with all the scrumptious goodies you learn to bake. Her beautiful kitchen is as warm and welcoming as she is. I have done quite a few of Maria’s wonderful baking classes (9 and counting), plus I had the pleasure of going on her culinary holiday to Tuscany, last May: absolute perfection!

Four and a half wonderful hours flew by very quickly; you were not only left with a sense of achievement but also a bag full of warm scrumptious sourdough bread to take home! Thank you very much Maria.”

This crazy pandemic has been a real bummer and the only thing that makes me and everyone else around me really happy is baking. Thankfully Maria has expanded her baking classes to the Zoom platform and despite the fact that I live in New York, I can feel like I’m in London baking along with her. She is such a wonderful and patient instructor, answering all our questions, improving our techniques and celebrating our bakes! I’m completely addicted and am constantly checking to see what new Zoom classes she’s added. Taking an in-person class is still on my bucket list, but while we’re all stuck at home this is an amazing option and would recommend it to bakers of all levels”

“Delicious and FUN!
I did the cakes and pastry class which was fantastic. Maria makes you feel very welcome right from the start. For beginners like me, it was an ideal introduction to the world of baking. The recipes were accessible and utterly delicious. I’d say this class would also be good for anyone with previous baking experience, since Maria gave lots of helpful tips that will improve anyone’s baking.

You get welcome cookies on arrival too, which were AMAZING!

I have just had an amazing time at Maria’s making macarons, madeleines and fancier cakes in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Everything was very well organised and geared for the group to get the maximum out of the experience. Maria is a lovely, friendly lady who made everyone feel at ease. I was very excited to try new techniques and Maria explained every step of the way and was very attentive. We all came away with new skills and truly delicious bakes!
