This class is all about exploring exciting flavours. I’m going to take you on a journey Eastbound - bit further than Essex - where we will pick up tahini, rosewater and chocolate treats.
We are going to start by making an enriched dough for our babka. If you haven’t tried babka yet then you are in for a yummy surprise! It’s sweet bread filled with chocolate and hazelnuts and shaped into an impressive loaf. We will then make some moist syrup cake served up with a tangy cake cream and finally some cookies flavoured with tahini, pecans and a sprinkle of salt. These baked goods are all full of flavour and for some of us it might be some flavours that we hadn’t thought about using in our baking kitchen until now.
